Over 25 years ago Jim founded Convert Your Garage after recognising a simple change in how garages were being used. Many garages were no longer large enough for modern cars and instead had become storage spaces for tools, bikes and household items. 

Rather than letting that space go to waste, Jim saw the opportunity to transform garages into comfortable living areas that feel like a natural part of the home. 

By replacing the garage door with matching brickwork and a window, fully insulating the space and creating a seamless opening from the hallway, a garage can be transformed into a bright and practical room within the home. 

Over the past 25 years, Convert Your Garage has completed more than  4,000 garage conversions and 300 extensions, helping homeowners across the North West make better use of the space they already have.
